Windows 8 Release Preview - Error code 0x80070570

When installing Windows 8 Release Preview using a VMWare Player 4, if this encountered:

Windows 8 Release Preview - Error code 0x80070570
The fix is fairly simple:
  • If the ISO is being used to to boot directly from the hard drive, change its location on the hard drive
Or
  • Mount the ISO into a virtual drive (I used Daemon tools), and that virtual drive as the boot drive for the VM. 
That should ideally take care of the problem. If it doesn't, leave a comment below.

    hi
    i am getting this exact error
    i am trying to install win 8 64bit release preview on win 7 64bit
    i have tried both relocating the iso as well as mounting it on daemon tools virtual drive but in vein
    please help

    What VM Player are you using? Some times with VirtualBox, I've encountered errors for no good reason.

    Check out my post on which I showed the exact install steps to get this working. That should help you out.

    I tried both approaches but keep getting the same error message as above both in VMplayer and Virtualbox.

      Try that, and see if it helps. If you are doing exactly what I described in the install process and if it is still failing, I am afraid I don't have an answer.
